The second annual Wild Goose Festival
will be taking place June 21-24 at Shakori Hills campground, just outside of Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. Wild Goose is a festival at the intersection of justice, spirituality, and art, and it’s been modeled after the long-running Greenbelt Festival in the UK.
Last year’s inaugural festival drew 1,500+ people and featured Disciples of Christ pastor Rev. William Barber as a featured speaker. This year’s festival is expecting possibly twice as many people and includes even more Disciples voices, such as William Barber, Christian Piatt, Phil Snider, and Spencer Burke.
The festival includes activities for kids and youth, as well as a participatory art tent, and for music lovers, live performances by David Crowder, Gungor, Josh Garrels, Over The Rhine, Jennifer Knapp, Aradhna, Songs of Water, David Lamotte, Derek Webb, and many more.
Steve Knight will be at the festival representing Hope Partnership for Missional Transformation, as well as hosting one of the speaker venues on Thursday night. Disciples can get an additional 15% off tickets to the festival by using promotional code DISCIPLES at wildgoosefestival.org
