My ChurchNext Interview

Posted on May 7, 2012 at 11:30am 0 Comments

ChurchNext is one of the best video interview shows online today, so it was a huge thrill and honor for me to be interviewed by host Chris Yaw recently. The episode with my interview went up last week, and I'm glad to bring it to you (be warned, it's an hour-long conversation!).

I talk about Hope Partnership for Missional Transformation, and…

Missional Conversations with ... Chris Smith

Posted on March 19, 2012 at 10:00am 0 Comments

Last month I had the privilege of interviewing Chris Smith of Englewood Christian Church on the Near Eastside of Indianapolis. Steve, The new pastor at RFCC is Rev. Kevin McHarg.  I gave him this info (the region had sent it to all of us on the minister list) and I think he is planning to attend.  I am not serving a church right now -- instead I am teaching public school at the middle grades.  One friend called it "the mission field!"  I am trying to only do one job at a time for a while, so I am not going to make it to the seminar.

Yes, I received it, but unfortunately, we had already planned leadership training out our church next weekend when I received information about this training.  However, I am working on my DMin in Congregational Growth and Development. I am planning to do something missional for my dissertation project - so our congregation is interested, and we would like to remain on your email/mail list.

Steve, I understand what the Hope Partnership seeks to accomplish but I'm not understanding exactly how it seeks to do that.  Are there consultative resources that we can get engaged with or is it informational through this website?  I just want to make sure I can accurately explain the Hope Partnership and how it can help to my church.  I have a meeting with the leadership circle tonight so any additional information you can point me to would be helpful.  Thanks! Aaron
