I'm a lay Disciple . . .
No seminary training, no in-depth knowledge of the BIble or theology in general. What I know is what I have picked up over my thirty years or so as a Disciple since joining the denomination in a small town Disicples church on the banks of the Mississippi.
I've been involved with The Intersection in various ways since its inception and am very happy that groups and individuals continue to step forth to help provide this venue.
My question is for the other lay folks out there, who I assume comprise the vast majority of the Great Quiet Masses, who are members, but not active. We have a number of folks who regularly provide content which is very good, but most of us are silent most or all of the time.
I don't know what you are thinking . . .
What were you looking for when you signed on with The Intersection?
What are you looking for here now?
What might be different that would delight you?
Just asking because I'm a naturally nosy guy . . .

The thoughts, feelings and hopes of folks who share a similar outlook on faith and The Way.
What are you looking for here now?
It has not changed much since I started. I also find hints on resources that I can use in my own study and meditation to be useful.
What might be different that would delight you?
An even greater level of participation, covering the depth and breadth of our shared religious tradition. More interactions with the tough questions of the day by folks who are wiser and have more time to consider the issues than I allow myself.

I especially like your final comment about increased participation. The more people interact, the healthier and more valuable the community.
Personally you sound plenty wise enough to take on "tough questions" - knowing that they are they to be grappled with puts you ahead of many:)
What are some of those questions that you would like to see addressed here?
