Dear North Carolina Colleagues in Ministry:
We have known for a long time that the key to congregational transformation is leadership. We also know that transformational leadership is different from any other form of leadership. For the past few months, the North Carolina Region has been working in partnership with the HOPE PARTNERSHIP for Missional Transformation (a new Disciple ministry) to make a comprehensive process for leadership development available to our congregations. This is your chance to develop transformational leadership for your church.
We would like to invite pastors and key leaders of your congregation to the DARE to Lead event on January 28th in Greensboro or January 29th in Greenville, NC. Here you will learn about your congregation’s leadership styles, your community and how your leadership might work together towards the goal of congregational transformation. You will have the opportunity to then discern over the next month about your participation in a process that will lead towards new congregational vitality through transformational leadership.
Open the attached two-page brochure and learn more about the DARE to Lead Event.
Please save one of these two afternoons and plan on bringing your leadership. The event will start when you arrive and end about two hours later as you move through learning stations. There is no charge for this introduction.
We hope you will want to take advantage of this tremendous opportunity, which will only happen once every three years in North Carolina.
If you have questions, I am delighted to visit with you about the importance of this event.
